BRANGUS

Strictly American breed, created from American Brahman cattle and Aberdeen Angus cattle. It is a mix of 5/8 Aberdeen Angus and 3/8 Brahman; these proportions require at least three generations to achieve. This breed is highly resistant to heat and ectoparasites; and gains weight quickly; it has excellent muscular conformation and smooth lines. The females have good maternal ability, do not have horns and their temperament is very nervous.

SIMMENTAL

The Simmental breed of cattle is the second most popular in the world, although over time it has spread to six continents and it is estimated that there are between 40 and 60 million of this type of cattle in the world. It is a breed of cattle of remarkable corpulence and strength, its skeleton is strong, characteristic of cattle adapted to both mountains and valleys, typical landscapes of Switzerland and which adapt to different terrains and climatic conditions. Although it is more considered for producing meat, its characteristics allow it to be a dual-purpose breed in the livestock sector.

ANGUS

It is a meat producing breed with competitive advantages and recognised for its early reproduction, easy calving, maternal ability, longevity, birth topos, high weight gain, fertility and excellent milk production, which allows us to obtain magnificent weaning weights, as well as a great carcass yield and quality of meat, which due to its marbling, that is, the fat within the muscle fibres, makes it more tasty and soft. It is a breed recognised worldwide for the production of high quality meat, which makes it ideal for crossing with other Zebu breeds in order to improve the meat conditions in their offspring.

BRAHMAN

The Brahman breed originated from cattle imported into the United States from India. Brahmans are the sacred cattle of India. Today, the Brahman is well established in more than 60 countries around the world. Its size is large; broad head; straight profile; short, thick neck with large dewlap; short horns that project backwards and outwards; short, slightly drooping ears; voluminous belly; high withers with well-developed hump; cylindrical trunk; round leg; well-formed, fleshy thighs; steel-gray is the preferred color and generally the color tends to be darker in the front and rear thirds of the bulls.

WAGYU

The Wagyu breed is native to Japan and does not occur naturally anywhere else. In the 1970s, some male Wagyu cattle were first exported to the United States from Japan. The high fat infiltration is the defining characteristic of this beef. The marbling of the fat in the meat pieces is called marbling, which is prominent in the highest quality cuts. The characteristic shine, color and texture of Wagyu beef are also defining of its quality. It is very rich in amino acids and unsaturated fats.

GYR

It comes from the Kathiawar peninsula in India, a region with a very hot climate and very poor and dry soils. The dairy gyr offers modern cattle farmers the alternative of crossbreeding to produce dual-purpose cattle. This breed with great dairy potential has the ability to survive, grow and reproduce efficiently in our average climate, resisting high temperatures, low-quality forage and diseases. Dairy gyr cows can produce up to 6,000 kg of milk/year and there is a group of females that have surpassed the barrier of 10,000 and 13,000 kg.
